DESCRIPTION

This photographic essay is an expression of my feelings for my grandparents. It depicts moments of introspection, grief and love. Severe and tragic changes took place in our family in 2000s. In 1999, my father moved to Madrid, looking for a better life. In 2001, his brother Evgeny died unexpectedly due to cancer. A few months later, my mother and I also emigrated to Spain. Thus, my beloved grandma and grandpa were left alone in the village. Between life and death. Still existing, but are they living?
